Nice Cubs Pennant Mike... that's a toughie, and looks like a great example!

Here are a few of my recent pickups...

1. Schafer Vater Toothpick Holder, circa 1890s
2. Nifty Batter Trophy, circa 1935
3. Detroit Tigers Champs Pennant, circa 1940 (first and only example I've ever seen)
4. Unique Spalding Leather Football Helmet, circa 1920s/30s
5. Melon Style Football, circa late Teens
6. D & M Ad Sign...A Christmas Present to Myself

Great additions Mark! I almost went after that Tigers pennant. It's the first I've seen also. I'm glad you won it.

Yes- I should've known! Mike Egner gets the credit for making me aware of it (thanks Mike!) I think he was just looking for one of us to buy it, so he could establish a value for his soon-to-be-revised Pennant Price Guide

Shooting you a PM right now...

Ditto Mark. That is the first time I've ever seen that pennant as well. A real beaut for sure. When I saw the pennant I wondered if anyone had ever encountered that particular stadium graphic and crossed bats design for another team? Mike- your right the 68 Tigers Champs pin is a real toughie. Nice addition and kudos on the '51 All-Star pin, great deal. I havn't been very active as of late since my wedding but it makes me feel good to visit here and see gems like these have found homes in world class collections owned by great guys. Everytime I stumble on these on the Bay I think about sending a PM, but it seems you guys are ALWAYS on top of it and never miss 'em. Happy hunting guys.

1927 St Paul Saints shortstop (he did a few other things in his career too) Leo Durocher

This is a bat he used in 1930. It is particularly cool because this exact bat is cataloged in the Hillerich bat records for Durocher.

John the fact that they even have covers is a real plus. Nice pick ups. The Record Books are a really nice find, they seem to be a bit tougher to find than the guides.

Thanks Peter! I think this nasty flu has wiped out a portion of my brain as well as the rest of me Of course it was YOU that brought the Tiger Pennant to my attention. Mike E sent me some other pics, but I have you to thank for this one...

I really appreciate it, and sorry for the brain lapse!
Mark

Just arrived from Goodwin. (They shipped fast, I just lagged on sending check). Note George H. Burke auto (Who was Master of Ceremonies) Just to our left of Wagner's head. Assuming it's the Photographer of the same name.

I picked these up at a coin show today. Some of the covers are ratty but the contents are solid.

Default 1946 Ted Williams autograph

I've had this for a while, but finally scanned it. It's a 1946 photo, probably autographed in 1946 as well. The photo is in a folder and the non-photo side of the folder is also signed by Ted.
