Really! Screw the beater and mid-grade designations. Takes away their soul.

Why when I click the attachment link does it tell me I'm not logged in, and therefore do not have permission to view it? I am certainly logged in, and I definitely want to see it!
Halp halp! ![]() And let me just say once again, I love this site!!!!! Beautiful cards, guys. I look forward to sharing my own vintage cards with you all soon.

From the latest Sterling Auction, this puts me over 53% of the set in Ex or better...

Leon,
I love when you visit over here. Beautiful sheet. Someday I'm going to finish the 52 Bowman set but for now I can just dream when I see stuff like that. Very nice! Drew |

Yeah, thanks, Leon: Always have loved the '52 Bowmans because they were the first set I collected as a wide-eyed kid looking for Boston Braves. Man, opening the five-cent waxpacks at the corner store and seeing all those duplicates of Del Rice, Clyde McCullough, et al, that seemed to always be in the third series packs. Never saw a Mantle or Hodges or any other star, though -- wonder if Bowman was manipulating the contents even that early in the spring.
