Clean Sweep sold this 2 in October for $400-, as a point of comparison, price-wise and condition-wise.

I don't think the price was "crazy", but I think it was fairly valued. My overall point as compared to the other thread was that Zeenuts that are rare, in high demand, or have coupons all seem to do pretty well as of late-

I can't speak for cards that aren't LA players, but for what I'm looking for, not many pop up for auction on eBay.

I know if any 1921 "common" pops up that I need, I'll be setting a high snipe. Hopefully they'll come up with BIN prices

-Matt

BTW - The Averill in Clean Sweep was nice too. When I first moved into my new place I didn't have a land line for about six months. I tried to sign up for CS and couldn't at the time because of that, and haven't since. I keep a basic land line for emergency purposes but many younger people I know don't even bother anymore, especially if they don't have a long established home number. I've always assumed this affects some of the lower end auctions in CS. It sure did when I couldn't register.

For comparison, a fair example sold for $537 in Legendary in March 2012.

Default Zeenuts

I was the under-bidder on the two Eatl Averill's lot. The second one would have been an upgrade for me (which I had purchased for @ $500 in early 2012).

If I hadn't bid the winner would have had an absolute STEAL at $405!!

Sorry to whoever beat me (if it's a fellow board member). If it's a dealer/ card flipper, you got what you paid for!!

I might add that the 1925 o'Doul / Lazzeri went for crazy prices. Whoever listed these had an o'Doul in 1/3 of the auctions!

Derek: I had a snipe in for $939 on the Averill pair, but it did not register, due to the specific timing of my snipe versus your (and the winning bidder's) bids.

Cheers

I won 3 of the 4 listed auctions, happy to win what I did. I agree prices were strong but when tough cards come up there are rarely bargains. 2 of the 3 I was less then 5% from my snipe max.

No plans to sell any but will probably use the dupes for trade bait as I am still looking for some tough Zeenuts, esp Waner brothers.

Gotcha! That makes sense. Didn't think of that. I actually haven't sniped on eBay in over 3 years. Not sure why.

I just recently set up an ebay search for the zeenut hall of famers, but I see now that it will be a long time before I get one!

Is anyone going to make on offer on this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1915-ZEENUT-...item51a63e3951 ?

Default Wow

Great card, but a little rich for my blood, especially since I have his "1913 brother" and got it for 50 times less than the astronomical BIN price on the 1915.

I remember when I got these two several years ago from Scott Gaynor for under $200.00 for the pair on eBay:

Agree with everyone, Zeenuts, especially HOF'ers or near ones like O'Doul will always bring strong prices as supply is not nearly enough to satisfy demand.
