Somebody help me out on this, but wasn't there an episode of McMillan and Wife that focused on high stakes baseball card flipping?

I believe it was an episode of Hart to Hart.

I checked into the card flipping TV show a bit further:

Hart to Hart
The Harts Strike Out
Season 3, Episode 22
Aired in 1982

You can YouTube the episode; however, I was only able to find it in segments. I believe the fourth one has the card flipping. For those who may have an interest, try Googling:

youtube harts strike out (d)

Best Regards,

Eric

Default Diminished Capacity

I just watched the movie, due to the recommendation earlier on Amazon.com's instant download for $2.99. I thought it was okay. The scenes at the card show were somewhat realistic, but all in all it wasn't that great of a movie. Alan Alda's character was pretty good, but Broderick's performance was so-so. It's worth the 3 bucks I guess, but don't get your hopes up for Oscar winning performances.

Default The Winning Season

Wikipedia: "The Winning Season is a 2004 made-for-TV film with elements of a fantasy drama. It chronicles a young boy's dream in 1985 with playing with the Pittsburgh Pirates great Honus Wagner. The film follows the dream to the point where the boy is assisting Wagner in his 1909 World Series duel with fellow hall-of-famer Ty Cobb."

And as expected has the famous T206 Honus Wagner
