Default T210 Jackson

I think the T210 Jackson card went kind of low - $96K??

I was thinking more along the lines of $120-130K.

Just my opinion.

I think that it went about right. The stain on the front around Jackson kind of took away from the card and since two were found, and the other one is nicer, some collectors may be waiting.

Chris, congrats on your Chase -- great card and what I thought was a very fair price. You got lucky on that one in my opinion.

I sort of forgot also. There were too many super-cool cards that I 'needed', so I think my forgetfulness was my subconscious protecting my checkbook.

Nice score Chris. Jamie - I think $3K is a bit low, but the final price was super-high. You can only do so much.

Guys--I don't want to hijack this conversation, but I'd be interested in some of the T209-II that were won last evening (Lot #293), if the winner is open to selling/trading any.

Thanks,
Mike

Default Beauty

The beauty of an auction...if you have the money its yours...if you don't have the money then its a rough thing to watch. I set my sights on a few I like and then watch the bidding...if i'm not a player this time then maybe next time. I appreciate the guys who pay the big bucks as much as the guys who buy the bargains...What a hobby !!

Does anyone know if a buyer has ever purchased majority of the items in a auction before?

To paraphrase the great collector Lionel Carter (RIP) " There was a young kid that came to the auction. We couldn't win anything. He bought it all." He was speaking of Bill Mastro. That was many years ago. My, how times change.

well I had to let the Seymour throwing go.. I just couldn't justify wasting over $10K on a card.. I guess my Seymour back run will have to wait for another to show up...

upsetting that someone out there decided to spend over $10K from what the cards worth..

if that card ever gest resold it will go for $2K...

and I cant even think about the murphy... I hope it ended up with the right guy...

Collectors with the resources going for cards they needed, not the ones normally expected to go for more. My guess is that each of the very expensive Red Hindu commons, if/when another comes out, will go for significantly less.
