Recieved an e-mail today from someone claiming they were the buyer and that I was mistaken and that JSA issued a COA on the Copley Plaza autographed menu. I'm certain it was a prank ......(I hope it was a prank..lol)

Wow. It's been said already so no need to rehash I guess, but that is one of the worst, most laughably bad fakes I've seen.

I found who the buyer was and here is what he said to me
"Thanks for trying to help me, but this shows how little the public nonprofessional analysts of signatures really know...JSA has seen the menu and said that the autographs are all authentic!!!!

Appreciate your interest, but I'll have to rely on the professional opinions...am quite pleased with my good buy - it was a steal!!!"

Can't say he wasn't warned, I even gave him the link to these posts.

It was a "steal" alright, but he was the one who got robbed. If he took ten seconds to do a simple Google search on ANY one of those signatures he would see for himself how bad those are. Quite sad really that the mentality exists that JSA is beyond reproach. That kind of thinking will allow forgeries to stay in the market for a long, long time.

I want to see proof that jsa gave it a letter and he's not just saying it did.

Also we have had members comment before that used to work for JSA or PSA, so I think their opinion would be right up there(I think most of us here trust our members opinions more the JSA or PSA).

Reminds me of the fine seller of this item.

I sent what I thought was a very reasonable request: "Do you have a clearer picture of the signature? If I buy it and determine that it is stamped will you allow a return?"

And got back: "Hi, I am sorry I cannot guarantee the signature. I do not wish to have it returned on 'just another opinion'. I think everyone bidding realizes there is a question about the signature and they are taking a gamble as I did when I bought it. So I hope you will honor that request of not bidding unless you want to gamble, as the other bidders are doing. I think it has some value even if stamped however, and I have no idea what that would be."

Did JSA really ever see these? What did they just gave him a free look without certifying them?
