Haha. Thank you. I rarely hardly ever submit anything, so not too familiar with this process.

Why people like the holders. Cheap quality plastic, no studies done on effect of insert on cards, the cards sliding under or bumping against insert. the hand cut insert around the card, and the UGLY 1980's looking labels, not to mention the cumbersome size. The oversized holders are even more pathetic in my opinion.

It reminds me of a matted and framed picture. I think they have similar appeal.

I love the SGC holders - the best looking of all TPG.

While I can somewhat understand the sliding card critique, how you think the plastic in any other holder is better, or the printing on any other label is clearer (or less "1980's looking") is wholly beyond me. SGC cards photograph/scan SO much better than their competitors, it's really not even close. I paid to move this beauty from PSA to SGC, and it was worth every penny... ![]() ![]() And, I don't own this one any more, but there is no doubt that SGC is better for viewing online than BGS: ![]() ![]()

That's why SGC appeals to me so much. It's not so much of the grade I care about, but with T206's or smaller cards, IMO, the black bordering of the slab makes it just a gorgeous looking piece. And I don't ever need to worry about a card sliding out with it being in storage. You can pretty much say that about every single card holder, rigid or slabbed except beckett most likely.
But I like the protection of the card in a slab, and I can't remember if SGC does this, but what was great with GAI long ago was that on the top border of the slab they labeled the card, so it was easy to grab and find what you're looking for in storage too.
