Default Pesky baseball

I posted this on the autograph forum earlier, but figured I would post as a reply to my previous post here, since I picked this ball up with the 28 A's ball.
One of the other balls that came with this Pesky ball included a 1945 dated baseball signed by various servicemen stationed at Pearl Harbor. The ball in question is a Reach Harridge model ball, with a US Navy stamping. It has 2 signatures, 1 of which is Johnny Pesky. I was curious if any recognizes the second signature? Based on its inclusion with the Pearl Harbor ball, my theory is that a Navy serviceman had Pesky sign this ball in 1945, since Pesky was also stationed at Pearl Harbor at the time. The 2nd signature might not be a player at all, but figured I would pick the brains of the auto experts over here.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Keith

Default Jersey

Was happy to get this off the 'Bay for a paltry sum. Has double significance for me as I am from the State College, PA. area AND it was made by the Honus Wagner Sporting Goods Company

Default Recent October pickups

Here are 3 new pickups to show:

1) 1937 Wheaties box panel of HOF'er Ernie Lombardi. He caught Johnny Vander Meer's consecutive no-hitters in 1938

2) 1940 World Series game 5 ticket stub. This game would prove to be Vander Meer's only appearance in the October classic. Vandy pitched 3 shutout innings in relief.

3) 1972 Bob Moose Testimonial program. Bob Moose no-hit the Miracle Mets in NY on 9/20/69. He ironically died suddenly in 1976 while getting into a two car crash in OH heading to his own 29th birthday party at Bill Mazeroski's house.

WoW! That is a flat out beautiful piece, Greg! I would think that that is one of those things that you just never get tired of looking at it. I know I wouldn't.

Default Jim Palmer no-hit ticket

I'm happy to fill a challenging hole in my no-hit ticket collection.
I finally found a ticket stub to HOF Jim Palmer's no-hitter on 8/13/69 at Baltimore.
For whatever reason, this ticket has been an SOB to find.

BTW, I now have tickets to 181 no-hitters and perfect games dating back to 1901.

Thanks Doug.

BTW, locating a Palmer no-hitter ticket stub has taken me over 40 years . Go figure, as there were 16,826 in attendance that night.
