If I were a T206 collector, I'd take this one from Legendary and a new Buick.

I was curious about that same card. I don't know a lot about the t206 set, but that seemed like an extremely strong price.

But whomever bought it is now a half point higher on the registry. If that is your game, and money is almost no object, then maybe it was a good buy!!

Nothing for me, I think that Plank belonged to a board member, nice win.

Thanks, Jeff. And you are correct - I just heard from Tony (who's card it was).

No wins for me - led on the Mendelsohn Cobb until about midnight and then got blown away - $19,000 + is a really strong price for that card.

I was in on the Pinkerton Jennings until it broke $4k, then I had to bow out. Congrats to whoever won it.

That's a really nice price, Chris. Most of the Ruths that have sold have not come close to that..........

Yep it seems that this set is starting to be appreciated by collectors a little more lately.

Cobb is tougher to find than Ruth (who is probably the easiest card to find in the set) but 19k is still an amazing price, and like you said more than the Ruth's get usually. Could have been a couple of Cobb collectors battling it out as well.

It sure is a lot of money considering that you could have gotten that same Cobb and a bunch more cards at the last REA auction for ~12K including BP: Link. I think it's fair to say that M101-6's are hot now.

There was a bunch of great cards in that lot... I believe it somehow flew under the radar... At least I missed it.
