Steve---he may be truthful in saying it was/is his grandfather's card...and the rest of the 53 set may be from his grandfather as well. The 53 reprint set is pretty "old" now

I can buy that, but can someone please explain to me why people are paying $26 for a 10-cent reprint?

The answer to any query as to whether people are really that stupid is always "YES!" There is no way to overstate the variety and quality of stupid out there. Every time I think I've seen a new low, someone comes along and proves they can be dumber than the last guy. On Wednesday in court I saw a defendant in an eviction case tell the judge he wanted to try the case rather than settle it. The judge asked if he had any defenses. He said no. The judge asked if he had any witnesses. Again, no. The judge asked if he had any exhibits to introduce. Again, he said no. The judge said, ok, told the plaintiff to proceed. He then asked the defendant if he had anything to say, the guy said "no," and the judge ruled against the defendant. The idiot defendant then asked for a new hearing! I guess having no case and no defenses once wasn't enough for him.

I think I saw something on CNN about that case - the defendant is taking it to the Supreme Court....and those guys have agreed to hear the appeal. Stupid.
