Default Gilbert & Bacon

Gilbert & Bacon was a very prominent photography studio in Philadelphia, and they were the main photographer for the University of Pennsylvania.

Which players? What conditions? Have any sold before?

There's almost certainly no 'book value' on items that are this scarce. I'll repeat what a wise collector once told me - "you should pay what you want if you want them, and not worry about the resale value".

There was once a large collection of Gilbert & Bacon cabinets at the NYPL that were stolen. Some have been recovered, others have yet to be returned.
