Happy Birthday Leon! Didn't realize you were a Marine. We buried my favorite Marine this morning. My Dad 94, Talaga, Bougainville, Choiseul and Iwo Jima, wounded fourth day on Iwo.

We had a bugler play the Marine Corps Hymn to start the service this morning and ended it with Taps.

You guys would have enjoyed the obit. Since he outlived everyone his honorary pallbearers were Bobby Cox, Chipper Jones, Greg Maddox, John Smoltz, Roger Staubach and Randy White. These were his friends that came into his house to see him each week via the TV so I thought it appropriate.

Leon this will give you a shiver, when he returned to the states in 1946 he served as a drill instructor at Paris Island for a year!

He would have wanted to wish a happy birthday, Semper Fi!

Mike, my sincere condolences to you and your family. May your honorable father RIP. I went through San Diego MCRD, instead of Paris Island, but I certainly remember my Drill Instructors. Your Dad must have been a heck of a guy!! Take care and Semper Fi.
