Dan,
Agree he sold go after a refund. But really the seller didn't list the bat wrong, in the listing they never mention it being a game used bat.

Sorry to see your centerpiece item not be what you thought. I think it is still a beautiful example and likely very uncommon as you noted pitcher's bats are. I hope you didn't get killed on the price. Mark

Dan, Brock and Mark,
The seller did not misrepresent the bat, so I can't fault him, FWIW. This was simply a situation where limited knowledge about vintage game bats and a flawed bidding strategy by me and another bidder ended up blowing up in my face. Not sure what you paid for it but I think it's still a great piece. You are a Vander Meer collector so if you overpaid a bit for a neat piece so be it. I think we all have at one time or another.
