Sean,
The set is most unusual in that it features players whose careers were long over (e.g., Berra) along with players of the era when the pins were made. There is no evidence the pins differ in scarcity. If the HOF players are selling for more, it is because buyers/sellers have assigned greater value to them over the "common" players. I'm sorry I can't tell you what the set is worth, other than for you to do what you are already doing---monitoring their sales on eBay. Paul
