Got this ball at an estate sale yesterday...it's a 1948 team signed Lincoln Athletics ball with Nellie Fox signature. This ball has been at the top of my wantlist for a long time.

Thanks Clint...they showed a picture of the ball on their website...I was anxious about it all week, because it was a tag sale that hands out numbers in the morning and only the first 30 people will get in right away. I showed up at 6:30 AM to get in line and was already the 13th person back. Of course they hand out multiple numbers to people so when I got my ticket I was number 23. Came back close to opening time and was lucky enough to get to the baseball before anyone else.

I went to a tag sale this weekend also because they had a box full of vintage baseball stuff (gloves, catchers gear, two flannels). Well when I got there, Iwas already number 60 and would have to wait awhile to get in. So in the meantime they opened up the garage and I found this vintage bat "The Victor". Guessing it's from around 1905-10, it's in bad shape but only paid $1. Anyone know more info about this company?

So when we were waiting a lady came out with the baseball box and I asked her how much she paid.. $450. I don't think it was worth anywhere near $450 (included a photo of the lot, what you guys think?)

Nice bat..I've had a few Victor bats over the years. A buck is a steal. That box of stuff is nowhere near worth $450.

Default Cardinals Sign

Saw this @ The National. Had no way to get it home. Ran into it again @ Collinsville show this weekend and the price had improved and I had the truck. Now to find somewhere to hang it.

Weird that the Pirates would burn their bats before the season even starts!
I picked this up a little while ago and am wondering how common these are. Any thoughts?
