I am thinking 5 x 7 to 8 x 10.

I have always thought that cuts look better slabbed, simply because it is harder to loose them. I have had cut signatures so small that I dropped them on the ground and never found them again. A slabbed cut at least makes a thud when it hits the ground

The PSA baseball card slabs are nice for signed cuts, cards and index cards. I like those. I was talking about the big slabs designed for news photos.

But beyond my taste, I don't know how a slab versus a photo LOA for an 8x10 would me make more or less comfortable at purchase time.

Personally, the slabbing or not slabbing of a photo makes no difference in whether or how much I would bid on an item. I wouldn't pay more because of the cert or the slab, but I wouldn't pay less either. I don't care for the photo slabs of either company. If I had to choose, I think the PSA version is nicer.

I can certainly appreciate someone's desire to protect a high value photo. I guess for me a pic in a sleeve in a binder, a rigid top loader, or frame is enough. I like having the option of actually handling the stuff I own.
