I can't recall precisely, but I'm not a big-budget collector and wasn't shocked enough not to at least run the idea of owning it through my head. Maybe $700? Of course, I have no idea of the market for those kinds of items.

Finally got around to scanning, so here goes. Nothing outrageous, but a few neat little pickups:
1910 NYC Theatre rag with upcoming schedule of all 3 NY teams on cover ![]() A few press photos (only 2 from the Rogers Archives) Circa 1918 with WWI armbands ![]() Yankees pitchers heating up ![]() Couldn't resist this one with the look on Whitey's son's face - 1955 ![]() Martin arguing, hardly uncommon; but I couldn't resist the bicentennial caps ![]() New but a throwback - game used from the Sox/Yanks 1912 Fenway 100th anniversay game ![]() One of my best pickups - Goldsmith sample scorecard - scan doesn't do the color justice ![]() ![]() Frame from Morgan Bulkeley's BBHOF plaque - definitely an unexpected find ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

RJ, love that Bulkeley HOF cabinet. Never saw one of those offered before.
Are you planning to replicate his HOF plaque to put in there? |

Jeff, I saw that Collins mini-bat the 1st day but passed on it, then changed my mind and spent the rest of the show looking for it again. Very nice p/u. Some stuff 4 me:

![]() Vintage Yankee/R.J. Hinners Like your Goldsmith sample scorecard and especially the Morgan Bulkeley's BBHOF plaque frame...How does one of those surface...did the Hall remodel?? Exhibitman/Adam W@rsh@w Like the Sugar Ray Robinson Photo.. ![]() The c1885 Harvard sports cap I got by phone from Keith Javic at the National arrived today. As mentioned all I had to go on was fuzzy cell phone photos. I was a little nervous how it would look once in hand but I'm very pleased...Above is a shot of it in action in my baseball case..As I waited for it to come I had been trying to figure how I was going to fit it in as there aren't a lot of options!....But as soon as I slid open the glass door it just flew right out of my hand and landed on the shoes..and I thought I heard "Right here"... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually I'm taken by how good condition it's in...when you find these 19th century antique fabric items they come in all conditions...subject to an array of horrors that can affect them...stains, tears, moth holes, etc...and that's if they aren't thrown away somewhere along the timeline... I believe the name written on the label "Blossom" may refer to a E.L. Blossom, who I found reference to as a Harvard class of 1888 member. One reference provided he boxed in an indoor winter athletic meet as a light weight boxer...and I did learn the Harvard Athletic Association was formed in 1874 primarily functioning to organize track, gymnastics and boxing at Harvard. ![]() http://www.brinesports.com/aboutus.asp Did you know the Brine Company is still around...oldest sporting goods store in the country....link above...Interesting they had six locations early on and they were all independent of each other...hmm!?! One down two more to arrive.

![]() ![]() I received the Omega Oil trolley car sign with the track runner and it's definitely old, say c1910ish maybe earlier. Today omega oil is a popular health supplement oil found in fish and I think nuts...But this product has nothing to do with healthy eating...it wasn't taken orally but rubbed on muscles as a liniment...I found a paper written on the company I post below. http://cecilmunsey.com/index.php?opt...=27&&Itemid=34 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
