West coast venue would be great but doubt it will happen.

Is there a reason that the National has not been back to Arlington, Texas, since the early 1990s? I went to that one, and found it a very rewarding experience, both in cards and memorabilia. I remember purchasing a 1948 St. Louis Browns cap from Roman Pro cap company (who had a booth). I still have it. One of the best "Cooperstown Collection" caps I own.

The Arlington Convention Center is quite large, and up until this past year, featured the local Wizard World Con, and is next door to the Rangers ballpark, with tons of restaurants and entertainment venues within a 3 mile radius (Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, etc.)

I thought I read somewhere that Wanda Marcus who was the driving force of the National(s) in Arlington had been in ill health or perhaps died? Arlington was the first National I attended and other than the heat, it was astounding and I thought very well run. One show featured Mickey Mantle as the key autograph signer and there was a HUGE line to get the Mick's autograph. To me it would be a logical choice to replace Cleveland but until there is new blood on the selecting board, I guess it will be the same old same old every year...

Wanda Marcus died several years ago while undergoing a routine operation. She put on many very large and high quality shows at the Arlington convention center which is right next to the Ballpark and down the street from Jerry world.
