Yes in terms of Jeff takes a shot at your blog. Then your argument is to say he has an ego, and he has the nerve to post kudos from past trials that others have said about him. Yes I disagree with you and don’t follow your logic…they seem to be unrelated.

In terms of this find Jeff has some very good points in here. As a bidder of decent volume with HA I’d be lying saying it didn’t make a bit nervous knowing these guys can bid in their own auctions.

With regards to how it was handled it could have been done better to maximize in some ways no doubt. I too felt it fell a bit short but that could have been because there was so much hype. Sort of like everyone telling you for months how awesome this movie was…then you see it and you’re sort of like "ehhh". Not that the movie was bad it was quite good just not what was built up in your mind after every jackwagon telling you around the water cooler at work how the movie changed their life.

Jim B brings up a good point too they still have about 8 billion more of these high grade cards to sell…so money will be rolling in for quite some time.

Cheers,

John

This is probably more easily understood as a continuation of the Legendary Auctions thread, in which Jeff called me a baby girl, Googled my Dad, etc.

Dude, stop crying. When you were climbing through my window in order to boil my pet rabbit I googled "Paul Misfud" of "Paul Mifsud", whatever the hell your name is and some dead guy with the same name as you was the only thing that came up.

Perhaps you'd feel better if you went back into your T206 Collector Forum and played with all your imaginary friends who are just about to start posting. Sort of like an adult version of a little girl's tea party for her stuffed animals.

Tears of laughter, my dear friend. Why do you think I keep coming back for more? You entertain me.

If it makes you feel better to visit my website and Google my name, or my Dad, or a deceased relative, I'm all for it. A little "pot calling the kettle black" on the obsession angle, but it really doesn't bother me.

The simple fact is you're an arrogant fame whore, and I'm tired of seeing you talk about yourself and scoff at other people's opinions on every thread.

P.S. I admit that I "started it" on this thread. And I don't think Leon's feelings were bruised by Jeff's LOL.

And you're a jealous loser who tried to bet me $32. Here's you playing with your "T206 Collector Forum" with your many threads -- and zero posts and zero "registered users":

Paul you attacked Jeff to start this, not vice versa, unless I missed a post. You read an awful lot into a single "LOL" which I would guess did not upset Leon at all.

Jeff and I agree on almost everything concerning the hobby. Jeff is a bit more zealous than I am. We are good hobby friends. I don't think his comment was meant in a derogatory way towards me. I didn't take it that way either.

I also politely disagree with Heritage's stance on their own bidding. I do think they are a very honest and reputable company and have no issue consigning (when it makes sense since I run a small auction too) or bidding with them.

Heritage clearly did the right thing here. Just imagine if they had trickled them out and you're a well heeled and frequent bidder. You win the 27/30 lot for $1.2 mil. Then, month after month, auction after auction, high grade E98s appear with regularity. When you discover the truth about the find, how much business are you going to do with Heritage in the future?

An earlier post asked about the ethics of an attic find of multiple T206 Wagners. Of course the vast difference here is that the finder will probably have no ongoing presence in the hobby, and so the financial gain will trump the damage to his reputation.
