My two cents worth:
I enjoyed the national for several reasons. Lots of vintage cards for sale and many items on display by the auction companys. I baciscally only went to work on a 1970s Topp set, which I did.
The part I enjoy most is talking to the dealers that I have dealt with in the past. Ron Vitro, E&R Galleries of New Rochelle, NY. The Father and Son of Scottsdale Cards of AZ. Terry Knause of Tik n Tik, officer for the National Convention. Met Johnny Adams for the first time and had a great conversation about him being a full time dealer since 1970.
But the number 1 highlight for me was getting to talk to a guy who will be 91 years old soon. I reminded him about the cards I purchased from him at the
7th National. I was debating if I should buy the cards he had, this guy comes around the table and put his arm around my wife and tells her that it would be a big mistake not to buy them. My wife has aways been impressed with this gentleman because he is Irish just like her. I told her I got to talk to DAN McKEE! She had went sightseeing at Fort McHenry for the day, but was disappointed she missed another Baltimore Legend.

Visiting with "Pops" was certainly the highlight of my National. What a great gentleman! Thanks to Dan'o for making sure I got to say hi.

Thank you Jim. Now that I'm home I was able to scan it -vs- having to share it through a distant camera shot from my room in Baltimore.
Here's a better pic of the card.

Default A Matty for a Matty......

I acquired this beauty from a fellow collector who was looking for a nice T206 Matty (portrait). I traded my T206 Matty,
and several Ben Franklin's, for this W600 Matty.

Ted you did good. I wish I could have made the purchase myself. Don't think it could have went to a better collection. Congrats
