I see no mention of anyone chewing the gum. In the early 90's I opened a pack of 77 Topps and decided to see what the gum tasted liked. The results, it tasted like cardboard and disintegrated in my mouth. Don't remember the cards but they must not have been any good.

Opened a 1979 topps and got an Ozzie Smith rookie. And the gum always sucks. No matter what stay away from the gum.
