Think of it a different way. The card themselves have been around for over 100 years, collectors have been around for nearly the same amount of time, and professional grading has only been around for 10-15 years. Anyone who had a Wagner for 20+ years may not feel the need to get the card graded to remain in their personal collection. m |

sorry for the double post.
the burdick wagner at the Metropolitan is in pretty good shape, it is pasted on a sheet, so they don't know how much back damage there would be if they took it off. they did comment, however, that the paste is water soluble and it might be possible to dissolve it and take the card off the sheet with minimal damage. so that wagner is in fairly good shape and unslabbed and ungraded. |
