If I am reading the article correctly, it appears that either 1) there were more cards found than what is being sold (some of the relatives are keeping theirs) or 2) all the cards were sent off to be graded and then some of the relatives decided to keep theirs and thus they wont be sold at Heritage.

I guess my question is, were all the BSF cards graded?

Hi Bruce- hope you are well. Back in the 80's and 90's, I probably picked up an original collction of T205 and T206 about once a year. Sometimes I might even find some T210's, or some decent candy cards. But in all of them put together, I never found any great rarities, not even a Plank or Magie. So I can't rightly call them finds, more family collections that were kept together for generations. I never ever found anything even remotely close to the Black Swamp Find. If it is genuinely worth $2-3 million, it would have to rank right around #1 all-time.

Yes, it sounds like there are even more cards than were consigned to Heritage. How many more? Hundreds more? And whoever gave up his rights to the PSA 10 Wagner got a little short changed, don't you think?

That proves that there are some gems in Grandpa's attic that aren't reprints.

While the whales fight it out over the PSA 9s, I think the prices will stay steady for the low and midgrade E98s. I do think the orange and blues will probably increase in value, but across the board I don't see the mt E98s driving the lesser condition E98s down because there will always be a strong demand for them in eye appeal condition.

As someone mentioned above, thank God these were E98s and not E94s, I have too much invested in that master set
