Make sure you have the latest version of Java and its updated.
Clear your browser cache, internet files, and history. Also try deleting the "Java cache". I had a technician walk me through this on the phone for an unrelated issue. I think you just click on the Java Icon on your control panel and click another button. Basically what happens is the Java applet gets overwhelmed with stored info and it stops working properly. Hopefully someone can give more details on this process...
