Extremely rare picture of Thomas Moonlight. Moonlight was an Indian fighter, farmer, Civil War hero, pioneer in Kansas baseball, Kansas politician, Wyoming Territorial Governor and Bolivian Diplomat. Moonlight chased Quantrill's raiders, teamed with famed mountain scout Jim Bridger, lead in the formation of the first baseball club in Kansas (1867) , pardoned the Sundance Kid as Wyoming Governor and was appointed Bolivian Diplomat by President Grover Cleveland.
This little bio doesn't do justice to what this guy experienced. It must have been amazing to have seen what he did.

My only acquisition this month was a 1914 Federal League game ball. I love it already.

Well done Clint! That is a beautiful trophy! I wanted it really bad but didn't bid due to the fact of no international shipping and i thought it might go a bit higher.

Very nice, Clint...
I was the under-bidder to you. The last few months, I have perfected the art of finishing second ![]() But very glad you got it- especially with the Kansas connection. Its a spectacular item, and I'm glad it found its proper home. Many congrats! |

In the aftermath of the Yee auction, I was still on a spree and picked up these as well.
I have to say these Beckett cases are HUMONGOUS! There is no doubt they'll protect the pics. I'm not sure if they're bulletproof or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm debating cracking them out cause they take up sooo much room. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
