Chris- check out Captain Lord Mansion, a wonderful bed and breakfast inn, even if you don't stay there. It's one of the nicest I've ever seen ( and I was last there in 1985).

Barry, I just spent a few minutes looking over their website and I must say it looks incredibly quaint and charming. We are traveling with our young children and by the looks of it we probably don't want to take them there. I will see if we can get the grandparents to watch them so we can make a day trip of it.

If anyone heads to Bar Harbor and Acadia Natl Park be sure to go to the restaurant in Acadia, it is called Jordan Pond. Be sure to order the pop overs.

You mean The Tea House at Jordan Pond I think. Ended up there several times on our bikes. Don't think I've ever had the Pop Overs though. Will check them out when we're up there next month.

The restaurant is called Jordan Pond House, the only restaurant in the park.
Good food and the popovers are the real treat.
