Innuendos are easy to make, that is why we are seeing them so much in the last few days.

Yes they are and they should stop. Many of us here have had them brought up against them and I find them to be made by cowards behind keyboards.

Went to summer camp in Casco, Maine; vacationed one college summer in Waterville, Me; and spent part of my honeymoon at the Captain Lord's Mansion in Kennebunkport. Maine is one of my favorite places!

Never made it up to Maine although I would love to see...I hear it's an absolutely beautiful place to vacation.

Barry, I grew up in Harrison, just north of Casco. You must have been on Sebago Lake.

Come on up to Maine, I have no idea where the key is to my front door, low crime rate, decent weather for 3 months, you can drink from the lakes and streams and get directions to the best seafood places around. Moose in the road and mosquitoes large enough to carry away small children are a bit of a detraction though.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are just stunning.
Went on a great whale watch and two other boating trips (lighthouse viewing and a nature boat trip). The area is clean, friendly and has good restaurants.

We rent a house on the water up there every year. Fantastic place. Can't beat Kayaking with the Harbor Seals and Porpoises.

Made a dumb mistake last year climbing up "The Precipice" in Acadia in 100 degree and humid weather. That was a brutal day for me.

Rawn,

Not gonna lie...After reading that, I am pretty jealous sitting here in the great state of Indiana...

Most are very friendly here if you get out of what we call "Northern Mass" which refers to the southern part of the state. More often than not, you will be invited to someone's home for a dinner and a few beers if you strike up a chat at a local establishment.

Pick some wild blueberries or blackberries, feel really great about your dental health and try to figure out our accents. Now that's the impression I get from the tourists.
