There are also several Holiday Inn-type chain hotels just outside the village limits on route 28. They are reasonably priced, but you have to drive into town, and now there is not as much free parking as there once was (10 dollars to park for the day in the Doubleday Field parking lot.
My son had a game at Doubleday Field on Memorial Day afternoon, and we were shocked at how quiet it was in town. Greg

stayed at The Inn at Cooperstown (right off main st.) recently, was perfect. quant B&B, nice breakfast included. steps from HOF. do lunch at Doubleday Cafe. dinner at Hawkeye Grill at Otesaga Hotel

Blue Mingo Grill is a must on a good weather night..... great food..... Tables on the water right across from the famous tower....Take your wife to Fly creek cider mill ...if she isn't with you it's a good place to pick up a little something for her....
P.S. Whether you stay there or not have a drink on the lakeside porch of the Otesaga...great view of the lake and white rockers.........
