JimB,
I always appreciate it when you post some of your E93 registry. You have an absolutely gorgeous collection. You should start a thread on these and how you acquired them. Daryl |

I've seen more than a few of those E93 Planks with the different coloration, I think this could almost qualify as a true variation. This card is akin to the less well known E97 Davis different coloration.
For a card with a truly different coloration, instead of just looking like missed color passes, I'd submit my E97 and E97 blank back Camnitz'. If I didn't have them locked away in a safe somewhere I would post the scans, totally different colors. |

I've owned one of the Planks that was missing the color pass and the jersey came out greenish instead of brown. I agree with what people are saying though, this variation seems to be reasonably easy to come by....about half the Planks I see have it.
A lot of the other variations occur on normally orange cards that are missing a red color pass (I think it would be red anyways) so they turn out yellow. The Tinker and Evers are examples of this. I've also seen that there are a lot of yellow Gibsons out there. I believe this card is supposed to be orange but for some reason, I mostly just see the yellow examples. Didn't have an e93 to show but do have an e97 that kind of shows off these same colors pretty well. I've never seen any card that has a "Two-toned" background the way this one does. It's almost as if the printer just completely ran out of red halfway through the printing of this card. e97meyers-001.jpg |

I have been collecting E93s for a long time, but the majority in my set today came from two different original finds. JimB |
