Like I mentioned, I think they have gone completely to internet/email orders. They must have cancelled their toll free service. |

Just curious: is MJ Roop going out of business? If so, where in the hell are we going to store our slabs? |

I hope MJ Roop isn't in trouble, as I have been planning to buy some display supplies from them. For those who have ordered archival binder systems, how have they worked out for you? Are they really of "museum archival" quality? Additionally, when you order a "binder system", does it come with 3 binders or just one? Whenever I saw pictures on their website, it appeared that there were three binders in a "system". I could be wrong though, as I often am. |

I've never used Roop's binders, but the wood preservation case I got last Christmas didn't work for SGC slabs, for the lid wouldn't close. I had to cut out the bottom of the trays, & remove the thin cardboard insert under the lid to get the box to close. Roop claimed they never had that problem before, but never offered me a refund or a solution. However, I do like the box, now that I got all the slabs to fit. |

I have a lot of Roop materials; the archival binder systems as well as the wooden preservation boxes. Regarding the binder systems, they're really beautifully done. Museum quality? Not sure what that means but the binders are solid and the slip covers are great. The boxes are also well done. I've got mostly PSA slabs and they fit perfectly in the boxes. I also have many SGC slabs and while they take up more space, the boxes do close. However, I don't have any boxes which are just filled with SGC slabs so perhaps my experience isn't determinative on the ability of the boxes to just hold SGC slabs easily. Without their boxes, I have no idea where I would store my slabs, of which I have well over 2000. Probably have to buy a new house... |

If you can't get hold of Roop you might try Light Impressions- the products are virtually indentical, just no imprinting (although they may have that option) and you'll have to print and laminate your own checklist. |
