Does anyone have any experience having scotch tape residue removed from a signature on an old GPC (or similar)? I have the attached and it is a great Gil signature but it would of course look even better without the residue. This is a 1954 GPC, postmarked on the other side.
Unless I was virtually 100% sure that the card or signature would not be damaged in any way I would not attempt this on my own. Are conservators able to navigate this and any idea of the cost? Thanks in advance for your thoughts and experiences. |
