Default This card has been on EBay forever! Show Stale Ebay Listings

I got back into collecting in late 2015. I am not sure when I first started following this card on ebay, but it has to be around 4 years ago. The asking price has not changed since I first started following it 4+/- years ago. And it still here, month after month, year after year. Listings like this are why ebay is no longer a viable source of acquisitions for me - cards that are priced to high, with “sellers” who apparently are not looking to sell.

I believe a “seller” can list his/her card for whatever they want and can hold out for whatever price they are seeking. But, it’s annoying to me that ebay allows these stale listings to continue for years, without change. Oh well, there is nothing I can do; but I can start a thread asking people to post stale Ebay listings.

So let’s see your favorite (or least favorite) stale Ebay listing, and please note how old it is (it’s up to you whether you out the “seller”; I have chosen not to)

I agree with you. Here's another current example. There is a T206 seller on Ebay right now: JLS Cards out of Alaska, who has taken over the listings with his out of control prices. He'll win cards in PWCC's auctions & then list them for 5x what he paid for them. He seemingly has no clue on moving his cards. Like he's just proud of showcasing them. It's beyond annoying.

This D304 Cobb feels like it's been up for a long time. Many months for sure. Perhaps a year or more.

Eielson AFB, Alaska? Yup. He just “relisted” about 100 t206s with outrageous prices; but this charmer has at least ostensibly reduced his prices and sometimes has new cards. That said, I agree that this guy is super annoying - the Dean of t206.

Here is a listing that’s been on eBay, at same (stupid high) price, for what seems forever:

Here are a few, including a $12,000 Babe Ruth that isn’t Babe Ruth...

This "Ed Delahanty" cabinet has been listed and re-listed for over a year now. Can't for the life of me figure out why no one has snapped this gem up yet.

Agreed. Funny that this thread started now. I went to ebay to link my favorite candidate for this topic, a common 1916 Globe card of Derrill Pratt, and saw that the card appears to have sold on April 8. I have it entered in my database as having been listed on ebay, same seller, and actually for $10 less, on July 25, 2013! Nearly 7 years I have seen this card. It's possible there were brief times when he took it down, but I doubt there were many.

I don't do cards, but watch for signed contracts, and these two pop up in my inbox weekly, for at least a year now. Same price the whole time.
