I also purchased this 1st basemans mitt today. I have a WWII era 1st basemans mitt...and I was surprised how little padding this one has comparatively...in addition to being a lefty. It's a Higgins...any idea what era it's from. Any help is appreciated. thanks guys.

The padding is easily removed by unlacing it. It was fairly common for the player to alter it to fit their needs. |
