Nice...a T205 Bender was my first pre-war card. The Collins looks very nice for a 1.

Default not a card, but I'm happy to have it

I recently won the April 6, 1916 edition of The Sporting News, which contains the first ad placed in that periodical by Felix Mendelsohn promoting his m101 set. The ad is 4 1/2 x 9", and is in much better shape than the rest of the issue:

I always wanted this as a companion piece to my m101 cards.

My stuff usually doesnt hold a candle to the amazing items that come across here; but Im extremely pleased with these pickups Ive made over the past 2+ weeks. Given that I try to collect these specific players; finding them in these sets (or in any set, in the case of HW Rip Collins) requires some patience. (The 1st one was sourced from my neighbor GhostMarcelle - thanks!)
