Also - we can be sure that David's cap is not the one in the LoC photo. Note the bottom of the "Y" on David's cap below left - it appears relatively flat. (Actually the front view in his initial post above shows it to be somewhat convex). The bottom of the "Y" on the cap in the LoC photo, below right, shows a very distinctly concave bottom.
