Amazing restoration job, Kevin...
If it's possible to look better than the original, you've pulled it off (I really like the look of yours a bit more!) Tremendous job using all original components from the time period. It was well worth the extensive ebay searches and time you devoted. Perhaps a little luck involved as well... finding a base that was so close to the original (and remaining in such great shape!) I'm also impressed with how quickly you completed this. That was fast! I am wondering how you attached the statue to the base. Also, did you do all the work and piece it together yourself, or take it to a specialist? Either way... beautiful results, and many congrats! Below are the original versions....
