this is very sad to me. I grew up with in walking distance from Mamorial Stadium and have fond memories of watching Mike pitch. I was 5 in 1970 and my Dad took me to the stadium almost every weekend the Birds were in town.
Mike was one of the pitchers on Baltimore that had 4 20 game winners-I think in 1971. I consider myself very lucky to have enjoyed Mike and the rest of the Baltimore team growing up in the 70s and 80s. Great memories.
