hypothetical?
Heck, that isn't a hypothetical situation at all...it happens 5 times a week or more on eBay.
Now if you want something hypothetical, change the scene to your grandfather's attic and try pulling out Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb and Cy Young without ever once getting a Lou Criger or a Harry Gaspar. Much more difficult.

Open it, and smoke the cigarettes inside.
After smoking 100 year old tobacco, even a striped bass would probably look like a Wagner.
