Does the paper have a photograph type feel or 85 year old, glossy paper type feel? It looks like a nice photo from the scan...certainly nicer than most I have seen....(which isn't really a ton)... |

The photo is from circa 1940s, obviously reusing an old photo. It's a standard snapshot style from the period. There were professional photographers like Jim Rowe and George Brace who sold commercially snapshot sized photos of old time players, and they often used later generation images like this. I don't know that that's the case with this photo, but it's conceivable. |

I believe David is correct on this one. Snapshot photographs are a focus of my collection and these types of photos pop up occasionally. |
