My assistant gave me this for my b-day a few years ago and I have no idea if it's real or not? The only autographs I have were aquired first hand or through the family. Any help would be appreciated. |

realy? there aren't many male dental assistants out there?!?! Actually I'm very happy with the one I have now...unless you'll give me vintage bb cards for gifts then I may have to reconsider! |

I was thinking more of a personal assistant, you know a guy who runs around buying/searching for cards, dry cleaner runs, getting the Bentley a car was...that kind of stuff. |

that's funny...a personal assistant!!!! You'd have a pretty boring job...and I couldn't pay you much. I could pay you in 1991 upper deck commons! |

I have a '39 "who's who in baseball" that my dad personally had autographed. He lived by Sportsman's Park in St. Louis and was an autograph hound back then, so I know all of the autographs in this book are authentic. |

In general, when you have multi-signed item, especially including common players, the average collector can get sense of overall authenticity by comparing the common player signatures to known authentic examples. If the common and obscure players' signatures look good, that's always a good sign. Forgers are spending the hours and hours perfecting their signatures of Joe DiMaggio and Jimmie Foxx, not Dick Bartell and Don Aase. |
