I consider Rich K. a good hobby friend and this is no slam on him but I spoke to the President of Beckett ( not Dr. Beckett ) when their holdered card was on ebay and didn't get a very confidence inspiring answer. I wanted to buy it and if it wasn't good they would reimburse me, was my proposal. I didn't think they would want their name on an expensive fake. They said that their stance was, and is, it's a good card until proven otherwise. We had a fairly long exchange about it. An ex-employee, whom I will not name, was also somewhat appalled at the explanation too. They don't need to grade early vintage cards imo..Let 'em stick with the shiny stuff.......regards |
