A local auction. I was thinking about bidding until I read here about repo's being made in the 1980's.

I am not a Peidmont chair guy but the description says the sign on the chair is porcelain. I can't imagine a repro being that expensive material but again, I am not a chair guy, except when sitting in them.

I have one and I feel pretty confident that both of those chairs are original. Not sure about the green paint job as I've not seen many with that look. Agree with Leon's comment about porcelain. My center piece on mine is porcelain and very nicely made. They must have made a LOT of them back in the day. Think I paid in the $100 +/- range for mine 10-15 years ago. It is pretty sturdy as well. Will hold me up...........

They are inexpensive and can be used, as well as make a nice display. Here is mine, and it has the writing on the side.
