Living in Chicago and not being a Cub or Sox fan, I have to say I would rather see the Cubs get in the playoffs before the Sox this year due to the fact the Sox appear to not have any desire to be playing in October. Watching them play the last series against the Twins was pathetic. " The Big Skirt" Frank Thomas hasn't had a big hit all September, Robbie Alomar and Carl Everett appear to be sleeping, and Jerry Manuel should have been fired right after the Yankee series for saving Buehrle for the TIGERS because " we had already won the series". Terrible. Give credit to the Twins who seem to turn it on when they have to and overachieving every year.
