I have always enjoyed the B18 set. Tough to beat this beautiful example...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=2741139105&indexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2 |

That is a very tough and very nice item. I've collected the B18 set for some time, and I can tell you that all brown infields are tough, and that one is a beauty. I also think the minimum bid would be a steal... if I didn't have one already I'd definately go for it. |

I have exactly 1 B--18--thought it was 14--blanket. I don't think they look like the players whose names appear beneath the pictures. |

How could you stoop so low as to use such vulgar terms! |

The blankets were in virtually perfect condition and many of them (maybe 1/3) had intact 1-3 inch pieces of the band still attached - the seller had about 30 of them as I remember. One of my most regrettable mistakes on ebay bidding was not bidding higher - I won NONE of them! |

I have a dead-mint Jackson B-18 and now after reading these posts, I am pretty sure mine still has the band attached. I need to go dig it out and check now - it's been years since I last looked at it. |

How many different players are represented in this set? I know there are different variations for each one, but if I were to look at a list, appx how many would you expect to see? |

There are 90 players in the set, plus one name spelling variation (Cavanaugh/Kavanaugh). Each player is known with at least two color variations. Two teams (Detroit... and I forget the other) are also known with a third red infield color variation, although those are incredibly rare. |

I'm amazed that there has yet to be a bid on this item. Is it the price? or Is it the relatively low feedback rating (30) of the seller? Or are the snipers putting on their scopes, and getting ready for a battle at the end of the auction? |

My experience is that you can't make good judgement on the bidding in an eBay auction until the auction is finished. What the high bid is on day 1 or 3 of 5 often means nothing. |
