My good friend Jerry Tate passed away and it is so sad. Jerry (whose eBay and Net54 name was ‘Gabrinus.’ ) was living a solitary life the past few years and I worried about him. He still had a sharp mind to the end and although he had sold all his cards, he still loved the hobby. They did not do an autopsy so they do not know what caused his death or when it happened. Just so sad.
I remember in the 80’s when everyone else was collecting modern cards or cards from the 50’s and 60’s, Jerry was buying all 1910-1920 caramel cards and Kotton cards. He recognized their value long before the rest of us did. I miss him. Bob (Tbob)
