Did we every get to the reason that the tracking # wasn’t provided to the buyer?

No. People called it a riduculous question and decided to rant for 3 pages that I'm an idiot for asking. Makes me question their motives.

You’d think the post office would have record of the original intended address ..
But then they’d have to explain why it was delivered in the wrong city *♂️ Last edited by Beercan collector; 04-02-2025 at 10:11 AM. Reason: Add a smiley |

Hi timothy hope your well tracking was provided but the problem was the post office sending this package all over the country. Jim is a good person who acted to fast before seeing the facts. Its not the $15 he wanted the cards and that sucks they went in a whirlwind. In all my years here never has this happened. Sorry for delay my mom has dementia its been a tuff week , best octavio great day everyone…

![]() Today's a special treat because you don't often get to run into one of these creatures in the wild! The locked thread is one of the most interesting in the whole internet outback, but not much is known about the life of this fascinating beast. Now I'm going to teach you all about the stages of The Locked Thread's life. Come along! 1. First the thread is born into the internet outback full of hope and optimism, but it's gotta watch out! It's a dangerous place out here. 2. The other inhabitants of the outback start circling the thread, studying its every move. Will this thread be a friend or foe. The inhabitants start picking sides. 3. Oh crickey! A battle has taken form by The Locked Thread between two other inhabitants. These can get vicious and down under we call them "the battle for the last word." 4. The Battle for the Last word becomes the paramount thing in the life of The Locked Thread. These engagements can last for days and add mutiple pages to the thread. Now it can easy for other inhabitants to get sucked into these fights but they have to careful! These creatures battling for the last word are ornery fellas and they often have letters attached to their title following their name and they'll use that sharp education to cut down any bystanders wanting to join in the fun. 5. Someone posts a card. 6. Bored with current activities, some bystanders will try to return to their daily lives. Common activities in this section of the Outback include referencing Seinfeld and name dropping obscure 1940's Jazz performers born West of the Mississippi. 7. One inhabitant seeing the chaos the new thread has brought into the land, sees an opportunity for an easy meal and posts something as close to political as possible - but without being political - hoping to out a prey that just can't help but take the bait. But be careful matey the Apex Predator of the land is watching closely and his ban hammer can take out any inhabitant of these plains with one swing! 8. Oh no! The Battle for the Last Word has taken a turn. These two furry creatures have done forgotten what they were battling for and are now fighting over something else - usually meanings or interpretations. If we're lucky we'll see one of them quote Webster's Dictionary! 9. Weary from days of strain the new thread weakens. It grew to big to fast and now no one even knows what its place in this outback is even for... 10. Circling the new thread from the beginning, the Apex Predator of the land - The Mighty Moderator - mercifully puts it out of its misery and locks it forever. But don't worry friends, the Locked Thread served its purpose and is an important part of the internet outback's ecosystem. See you fellas next week! Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" - Season 11 Episode 6. 2002

So today I receive from my local Post Office - 3 different packages - all containing car parts - all addressed to someone that lives in Washington State. Over 1 year ago - I moved here to Central Missouri. USPS should probably introduce a basic Reading Skills test for all potential employees.

People don't read any of the letters or packages. It's all ocr. For a while I was getting holiday cards intended for a different zip code, because the senders handwriting made the 2 at the end look like a 1. No real solution except to keep sending them back with a note, sometimes more than once for the same card. |

The USPS processes around 320 million pieces a day -- the success rate is incredible when compared to other sectors. That we'd even consider sticking very valuable items — or in this case $15 in cardboard — in an envelope speaks to that.

Where's the picture of the package that was provided to Jingram and Leon? Is the address somehow illegible?

The address is perfectly legible. A Postal Service supervisor said there is something going on with the tracking number label that is causing all of this. Something happened to the bar code after the package was received at the Post Office.

Hopefully the cards show up, James.
I bought a pristine 1972/73 Topps Hockey display box from a Canadian seller last year from a Facebook group. He shipped the box and it made it all the way to Salt Lake City to a post office two miles from where I work. After that it bounced back and forth about twenty-five times between five different post office locations around Utah. I finally tracked it down in Cedar City Utah PO where a lady pulled the package and had it in hand. She said there was an issue with the bar code and she would fix it and forward it back to Salt Lake. As it turns out, instead of just printing a new label her idea of fixing the problem was to just put a blank label over the bar code and ship it back to Salt Lake City. From that point the package had no tracking and was never delivered or never had another scan. When I complained the PO told me to file a claim with Canada Post. Canada Post basically told the seller to pound sand as the package was lost due to an error the US PO created. After a month of going back and forth trying to get a refund I just ate the loss and moved on. |
