One of my favorites
This group is one of the most prized within my collection and (i don't often say something like this) I have always felt priviledged to own these pieces.
All relate to each other and came together. I feel it a minor miracle that they were saved for so many years and nothing was discarded along the way. A solider during World War II had written Mel Ott asking for a souvenir. His reply is shown along with a letter from Ford Frick (to the same solider), a baseball which was used in a Giants game and hit into the stands, and a typewritten card which was sent to the soldier along with the ball.
