That must be Leo Cardenas behind him — he hit a home run to put the Reds ahead in top top the 10th and turned a double play in the bottom of the 10th to end the game. Ironically, Jim Maloney, up until 1991 was credited with pitching 3 career no-hitters including a 2nd one that he pitched on June 14, 1965.
The ML rules that defined what was considered to be a no-hitter changed in 1991.
Because Maloney's no-hitter eventually ended in the 10th inning, it was eliminated from the list of official no-hitters.
