To be honest, before recognizing that this photo was in a recent auction and had notation regarding "Jesse Burket" on back, my first guess was that the mystery ballplayer was Detroit coach Jimmy Burke. But quickly ruled that out since the mystery ballplayer appears to be nearly as tall as the 6-foot Moriarity, yet Jimmy Burke is only 5'-6". As for the uniform, could be possible that it is from either a minor league or college team. Jesse Burkett was affiliated at one time with Louisville Colonels. But Louisville team photo from 1916 does not resemble the one worn by the mystery player.
