Default 1967 Topps

Well, unlike Clint, I like them ALL... Sometimes taste is something we don't all have

I picked the 1967 since I LOVE everything about the card. Just iconic.

Now it's still tough for me since "today" the 1970 is a very very close 2nd and I almost went with this example. I know some people don't like the grey borders, but I do. Such a great shot of Brooks used by Topps where you can see the 1969 patch, part of the B. ROBINSON on his back, the #5, and the pose is just great.

On another day I may of picked the others. Who knows when you like "everything" about ALL the cards...

I picked the '65 just because you actually see his personality coming out in the photo. Also like the colors.

A close second is the '67 and I'd probably like it the best if all of his cards from '66 - '70 weren't basically the same pose.

C'mon Topps, put some leather on that man's hand and show us what he can do with it!

'67 for me as well.

Seeing them all together drives home how similar they were over the late 60s. Topps even went back to Spring Training of 1965 or 1966 for the photo on the '69 version.

I picked the 67 as well. I like the happy pose and the colors on the card. It's just a really well done composition and classic looking card.

I think you are referring the the '68 card having a spring training shot from the mid 60's. The 1969 card is just a more closely cropped shot of the picture on the 1967 card.

Due to the players union telling the players to not pose for pictures to try to negotiate a better agreement, Topps had to use old pictures for the 1968 set and part of the 1969 set.
